My name is Ben. I am 70 lbs, and would love to be your best friend! I enjoy long walks in the neighborhood, in the park (or even on the beach if you have one nearby)! Is this something you also enjoy doing? Because being out on a walk is my most favorite thing to do (besides having my neck and belly scratched), and I would love someone(s) who can appreciate the outings just as much as I do.
While I am young (2 years old) and have a lot of energy, I also enjoy just vegging out on the couch (right next to you). It's nice to snuggle or just hang out. It's very relaxing to just gnaw on a bone or Kong filled with treats and peanut butter when we are hanging out or when you are busy doing other things.
In case you are wondering, I am house-trained, I sleep well in a crate, and I'm not a picky eater (AT ALL). I like other dogs (and play hard)! I’ve not met any cats, but I did see some in the vet’s office and they said I was "non-reactive," which I believe is a good thing.
I am treat-motivated and eager to learn. I have learned SIT and WAIT (just practicing on increasing my times to stay in the command). I find it fun. I love to learn, I love the bonding/interaction time, and I love showing you what a smart boy I am!!
In general, I am a good boy, goofy at times, and require consistent, firm leadership (with ample praise). Regular walks, coupled with a good play session or runs would be great to balance my natural exuberance. I’m still learning to play with toys, and appreciate having a yard to have fun and play in.
I would love to be with someone(s) who would appreciate my companionship and affection. And again, someone who would join me regularly on some good solid walks, would be the ideal match (for both of us).
