Just look at how cute this guy is! ? Some of you may recognize him from our post last week, he was brought to our shelter as a stray and was not reclaimed.
Beluga is such a sweet guy, and our veterinarian was able to doctor him up while staying here with us. Beluga had entropion of both his upper and lower eyelid, and Dr. Weisbrod was able to repair it. Entropion is when the eyelid rolls back into the eyeball, which you can imagine can be pretty painful.
Beluga is feeling much better now and is recovering from surgery. This big guy would do well in a home with cats and children. He can be picky about his dog friends, so we will do a meet and greet to make sure it is a good fit! He will need a nice enclosed yard, and a PATIENT family to work with him while he adjusts. This poor guy has had a rough start.
Beluga is a pyrenees / pitbull mix that weighs 86 pounds. He is 3 years old, he is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped!
