This lovely girl lost her home and family due to a domestic dispute that put not only her, but a few other family dogs out onto the street. They all wound up in a rural SC shelter with little hope of being adopted. Luckily, Belle is a great dog who's gotten a second chance.
During her lifetime, Belle was fed way too much food. Her weight skyrocketed to 124 lbs! Since February, Belle has been on special diet and good exercise program. This sweetie has been working really hard to get back into shape. Now, she's 40 lbs lighter, feeling and looking good. Who doesn't like a pretty girl with a few curves?
Through all her struggles to walk, adjust to life in the big city, and make healthier eating choices, Belle has maintained her warm demeanor and her tireless desire to please. Her foster mom calls her Sweet n' Low because she is a sweet, low maintenance, and a great alternative to the high-energy younger dogs. Belle is good with most dogs - especially the boys (blonds do have more fun!!!).
Come to meet pretty Belle and see if you can resist adding a little Sweet n' Low in your life. She would love to be your best friend forever! Please apply to adopt Belle today.
The adoption fee for this dog is $275, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter. Our adult animal fees range and are based on: fees we pay to shelters, vetting costs, transport costs, and boarding costs. Some animals cost more than others to rescue, so that is why our fees range from $275-$350.

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering.
