Bellatrix is ready to share her story! ?

Every girl dreams of having someone that will love them, be loyal to them, and give them forever. In return, she will give her whole heart. I am that girl. I am the girl who wants love that is unbreakable. I want to go on adventures with someone, I want to grow with them, I want to be silly together, but most of all I just want a best friend. Someone I can trust and someone that will never let me down.

I didn't get a forever family right off the bat. The family that has my mom wasn't able to keep my siblings and I. They wanted to make sure we ended up somewhere safe and surrendered us to this rescue. I landed in an awesome foster home, and now I am counting down the days until I get adopted. I just hope my new family is going to be as excited about me as I am them!

My name is Bellatrix and I am a 7 week old female German Shepherd/Husky mix. I currently weigh about 10lbs and am not expected to get bigger than around 75lbs.

While I am super excited to find my forever family, I do not want to rush into anything. I want you and I both to be sure that we are a match! To help with that, I have filled out a questionnaire.

-How can someone adopt me?
The first step is to fill out an adoption app for me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
Once this app comes in, it will get sent on to my foster family and they will help me decide if we are a match or not.

-Where are you being fostered?
I am being fostered in Oklahoma City, OK.

-Would I need to come to pick you up?
Yes, you would need to pick me up. This rescue does not send us on transports. It is less stress on us that way. Plus, you and I can already start bonding on the road trip home! ?

-Can I adopt you even though I don't live in Oklahoma?
Yep, I am not opposed to living in another state!

-How do you act when meeting new people?
Excited and friendly!

-What is your personality like?
Active and Playful.

-Do you jump on people?
Rarely.

-Do you enjoy going places?
Yes. I am scared at first but warm up quickly once I realize I am safe.

-Do you enjoy walks?
I am currently in the process of learning what walks are.

-How are you on a leash?
To be determined. I am pretty small still and don't really know what to do with a leash yet.

-How do you do on car rides?
I tend to whine a little, and then pass out.

-Can I trust you to free-roam the house, even if I am away?
Once I am potty trained, I would say so!

-Where do you like to sleep at night?
Currently, I am kenneled at night.

-Do you chew?
As long as I have toys, no.

-Are you potty trained?
Working on it.

-Are you kennel trained?
Working on it.

-Do you like to play fetch?
Yes, I am learning to bring the toy back.

-Do you like to play in the water?
I am unsure, I haven't really had the chance to yet.

-Do you play with toys?
Yes! Wherever I am, I make sure to have toys all around me.

-Would you do okay living in an apartment?
Possibly. I am very active and love to run and play.

-Do you bark?
I bark at my brother when playing. Other than that, no.

-Are you good with other dogs?
Yes.

-How do you act around other dogs?
Playful.

-Are you good with cats?
Yes.

-Are you good with kids?
Yes, I am good with kids of all ages.

-Have you shown any signs of food aggression with other animals?
No.

-Have you tried to resource guard anything?
No.

"Bellatrix is a doll. She has SO much personality already. She is loving and so sweet. She loves toys, especially stuffed animals that she can carry everywhere she goes. She is your typical clumsy, active puppy that will play until she has no energy left, she’ll nap, and then she’s ready to go again! She is very smart and eager to please. She will make her forever family very very happy!! "

-What are you looking for in your new family?

I am going to need another dog in my new home. I do not like being alone, but if I have another dog around I do great. I also love to play so my new family should be on the active side. I would love to go for hikes, walks, and on adventures! A family that has lots and lots of toys around would also be amazing!

-How much is your adoption fee?
My adoption fee is $275.

That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
