Meet Bella
The name Bella is derived from the Latin meaning beautiful. Please say Hello to our Bella. Not only is she a beautiful 6-year-old girl (DOB 8/21/2018), but we know she will steal your heart with her lovable, sweet, and funny personality. Bella came to us after her family surrendered her due to their moving to a new home. She has become very content in her foster home and a model houseguest and companion. Bella loves outings and is a joy to walk. No leash pulling; if you stop to rest or chat, she'll lie down and patiently wait until you are ready to resume the adventure. Trips to retail stores, parks, breweries, and walking around town, she's ready to roll. She loves the attention of her admirers, who want to meet and pet her on her trips out and about. She is the perfect passenger in the car, and you hardly know she's there. She is a dream at the vet and the groomer, and both have remarked on how lovable, easy and laid back she is.
When Bella first arrived, she was quite overweight. However, thanks to her foster Mom, after being placed on a strict diet (no people food!) and enjoying daily walks, she is now ready for the runway with her hourglass figure. Bella can still be quite vocal and excitable regarding food and talks a bit. She eagerly anticipates treats and will try to follow anyone into the kitchen, hoping for something to drop. If you are cooking, she may sit at your feet, thinking something may fall on the floor, but she is not a pest or pushy about it. Â
Bella gets along well with the dogs in her foster home but prefers male companions over females. She can now enjoy a romp and playtime before a good nap at her new weight. Bella is crate-trained but does not need to be crated when left alone. She'll relax on the rug near the door, waiting for your return. She came to us from a home with children, but we do not know their ages. She would do very well with older kids. We strongly doubt she is a cat or small-animal friendly as she has a fairly high prey drive.
The ideal home for Bella would be one where she can get regular exercise and plenty of love, attention, and TLC. She is a low-maintenance, laid-back dog and a wonderful companion. Bella would thrive as the only dog but can happily coexist with other dogs, especially males. If you're looking for a charming fluffball to accompany you on adventures and shower you with affection in exchange for belly rubs, of course, Bella is the perfect match!
