Meet Bella

Bella means “pretty,” but this girl has more to offer than looks. Bella is a triple threat!

She SINGS an adorable little howl when happy, such as when being let out of her crate in the morning or when her foster returns home from work. That’s right! Bella is fully crate trained, and happily settles in with a chew treat and toy to keep her occupied. Other than singing with joy, Bella is a fairly quiet dog, only giving an occasional bark to alert you to a passing dog.

She DANCES along on a walk, which is the highlight of her day. Bella is very well behaved on a leash as she works on consistency with commands, such as “leave it” and “heel.” She also loves to run freely and chase squirrels, so she needs a home with a fenced yard. Bella especially loves it when it's sunny, and if it's too cold outside, she'll find any puddle of sunshine indoors to lie in and soak up the warmth.

She ACTS like you’re the love of her life when she climbs into your lap for some cuddle time. Though she is an energetic young dog, Bella also likes her down time to just relax and snuggle. In addition, Bella enjoys her own space to partake in high-value treats, so her foster has a penned area where Bella can retreat for some “me” time. She also keeps her chew toys in her pen; Bella is a strong chewer and will need your guidance regarding what is hers and what is off-limits.

Bella is fully housebroken and knows many standard cues, but she is still building confidence and will bond with you as she learns the rules of her forever home. Bella picks up skills very quickly and is happiest when using her brain. She’s smart, food-motivated, and eager to please—the perfect combination for successful training!

We recommend a home with older kids for Bella, so she can make secure attachments in a predictable environment. Bella is sometimes nervous with other dogs at first, but once she warms up, she loves to romp and play like a puppy. She will need slow introductions to any dogs in her new family.

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog.

Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.
