Good with dogs and good with cats.

Bella is a 4 Year old cattle dog who is 32 pounds. Bella is COMPLETELY BLIND, she can not see at all, but she does well adapting to her surroundings. She was rescued from Kentucky where she was living in an outdoor pen, her prior owners did not know she was blind. We are unsure if the issue was caused from disease or is genetic, she has been seen by a vet and an ophthalmologist and she is healthy and sweet as can be. It is unsure what Bella's prior life was like but when she first came to us she seemed mostly feral. Over the last month, Bella has been adapting to living in a home.

At this time it seems Bella is potty trained, you will need to continue working on potty training in your home to ensure her progress.
Due to Bella's prior life she does not walk up and down stairs on her own, we are working on it but due to her sight it is difficult for her and will take some time for her to learn. At this time she needs to be carried up and down the stairs of your home for potty or walks ect.

Due to the state she came in Bella has difficulty with human touch. It took her a while to enjoy being pet, you must be willing to work with her to make her comfortable. Adopting Bella will take patience and love in order to build her confidence and help her bloosom as a dog. She has come very far in over a month and I can only imaine what a year of being loved and appropriatley cared for will do for her. Bella is not your typical dog and she will need your understanding to grow.

Bella is getting better at walking on leash but do to her fears it can be hard for her at times. Bella can be very nervous in the car and it is best for her to be crated when driving, she does not do well free, or teethered. When we recieved her she had very rotten teeth. She was seen by a vet and needed 11 teeth removed, she was already missing 13. Bella only has half of the teeth that a normal dog would have. For meals she eats kibble with added water and she does just fine.

Bella is all about being cozy. Just give her a warm spot and a comfy bed and she will be forever happy.
