Belinda Birdie English Bulldog Thompson's Station, TN

Belinda Birdie is an approximately 1.5-2 year old Bulldog. Birdie came to us with a few medical needs which have now been addressed. She does still have focal seizures a couple times a week. This just consists of her head shaking for a couple minutes. The vet specialists are not concerned about them.
Birdie is a bulldog through and through! Bulldog experience families will be ideal for her and she isn't a dog fit for a first time owner. Birdie is strong, highly food driven and is a sweet girl but is an attention hog too. Although she is in a foster home with other dogs, we know she would rather be an only dog, or maybe just one of two. She enjoys playing with her canine friends, but makes it hard for others to get attention. Birdie prefers her female human most and is pretty obsessed with her. She does fine with her male human, but could take him or leave him, so we are adding female human to her forever home checklist. She would do well with older kids as she has a tendency to be a bit of a "bull in the china shop." She cannot be with anyone fragile because she will knock you out of her way to get where she is going and also tends to jump in excitement. Birdie tends to enjoys eating items of fabric found left within her reach so she is also a dog that is going to require your attention in that matter. She is a sweet and very loving girl but please consider her needs when applying!

Belinda Birdie is up to date on shots and preventatives and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250 plus any additional donation you feel appropriate. Our adoption fee is set to a level to make adoptions happen. They do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs!

All dogs adopted locally through SGDR receive a free six-week session of obedience classes and a lifetime of behavior support through our Project REWARD program with trainer Ashley Reum.
