Beetlejuice Rottweiler Port Washington, NY

Beetlejuice is a 2 1/2 year old Rottweiler that came to us as a stray on Halloween- hence the name. Say it three times and he may appear in your home as your new best friend! Beetlejuice is an overall friendly guy that gets along with people and dogs alike. He is learning commands but needs someone dedicated to continuing his training to help him along. Beetlejuice has partial vision loss due to conditions from birth called microphthalmos and persistent pupillary membranes (PPMs). Microphthalmos means that his eyes are a bit smaller overall than they should be, and PPMs are leftover tissues from the blood vessels that were present while the eye was forming. After seeing a specialist it was determined that he does not need any type of treatment at this time, and likely the condition will not get worse. However, the partial vision loss causes him to be slightly head shy so we do not feel he should be in a home with young children.
