Meet Bee

Bee is a 16 lb, 9 y/o Rat Terrier. She came to rescue from a person who bought her off Craiglist, most likely from a puppy mill. Bee was lovingly surrendered when her owner suffered health issues and could no longer provide for her. Bee was spayed, had mammary masses removed, and was found to have crystals in her urine. She is currently on Hills Prescription C/D diet for urinary care and may need to remain on it.

Bee has blossomed in foster care learning how to play with the help of two other resident dogs. She is learning the game of tug and will referee as she waits for her turn. Bee loves rawhides and will keep the house neat as she collects them from the other dogs. She will alert you to the doorbell and gets excited when she sees squirrels out the window.

When Bee hears “Let's go for a walk “, she will head to the front door and stands nicely waiting for her harness to be put on. Bee has learned car rides are amazing. She loves to watch the world go by with the wind in her hair. If you head to a comfy chair for a little downtime, Bee will jump up and snuggle on your lap. She also loves to cuddle up with you in a warm bed at night.

When Bee first came she was not used to small kids and strange people. Bee now lives with kids who are respectful of dogs and politely greets all people. She is spunky but well-behaved. Her Foster mom feels Bee is a good candidate for becoming a therapy dog. She is opening up more every day.

Bee is house trained and will let you know she needs to go out by going to the door and pacing. She is crate trained and it's best to crate her when you are not home. She just settles in and enjoys a nice nap waiting for your return. Bee waits to be your forever companion and experience new adventures with you. Her adoption fee is $300.
