Howdy! My name is Beaux and I am a very sweet and loveable 4-year-old Bloodhound. If you can't tell by my pictures I am a pretty handsome pupper. I am very active and love to play with both my human and furry friends. Since I am large and in charge, I require a proper introduction to all new furry friends.

I will need an experienced owner that understands how important it is for me to have structure and strict boundaries. I do have a tendency to resource guard at times, so I would benefit from some additional training once I am in my furever home, but don't worry, my buddies at MaxFund can refer some dogtastic behaviorists to help me with the transition.
Volunteers have said I'd be a great hiking buddy to a new family. I love car rides and make the best out of any size car you have (I realize I am a big boy).

How our adoption process works:
1. You MUST come into the shelter to meet a dog you are interested in (and meet a few others, while you’re at it!)
We do not require appointments – come anytime during normal business hours.
Our hours are 10-5 Mon, Wed, Thu Fri / 11-5 Saturday / 12-5 Sunday
We suggest you call ahead to be sure the dog(s) do not have pending applications
2. You will fill out your adoption application, including references, after finding a dog you’d like to adopt
3. The application review and reference checks will take up to 3-5 business days; you will not be able to bring a dog home same-day
We only take 2 applications per dog, before they are unavailable. This is why we suggest you call ahead to check the status of the pup!

We do not adopt out-of-state.
