7 yr Beauty is looking for her forever home!!

Beauty is a calm yellow lab that came into Brookline’s care from a puppy mill situation. This girl has had many, many puppies in her day and was happily rescued from the farm life. She came into foster care needing to be house- trained and very fearful of other dogs. She would crawl up into a tight ball and cower. She has made slow but steady progress in the month that we’ve had her. She is close to learning the commands “sit” and “stay” and is a fast and non-picky eater. She absolutely loves affection and enjoys being talked to and brushed.
Dogs - Beauty loves the company of other dogs. She is submissive, playful, and loves to play tug-of-war. She can peacefully coexist with another dog but will initiate play, and overall enjoys the company of other dogs.
Cats- unknown
Housebroken- finally yes!! She will pace and walk to the door to go out
Kids – Beauty can be very strong and may easily knock over a small child or an adult not steady on their feet
Walks- This girl loves her walks and walks nicely on a harness/leash

Beauty would be so happy to be adopted by a loving family/person with or without children. She likes to be outside and active both in a fenced yard and on walks. She would love to live with another dog for company but would need a playful, submissive, non-threatening dog. Beauty would also do well as an only dog as long as she were to receive lots of time, love, and affection. Since she came from a farm, her new owner will need to show her the ropes and continue to teach her proper indoor etiquette. Beauty was used as a breeder dog her whole life. This sweet lady deserves a loving home where time is spent with her. She loves to explore new places and then cuddle up with her human. She travels well in the car and is able to do steps with no problem.
