6/22/2016: Beau is a big handsome Black Lab. He’s a friendly, bright, and affectionate guy and he loves attention. He’s 9 years old and weighs 77 lbs. Beau is crate trained and house trained. He enjoys going for long walks and he walks nicely on a leash. He loves companionship, but he also enjoys being outdoors and chasing those pesky squirrels out of the yard! Beau is looking for a home where he can be the only pet; he’d prefer to have all the attention to himself.

Sadly, Beau needs a new home because his person passed away. She was a dedicated volunteer at HSGKC and she loved him very much. Beau has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms. If you might be able to give a home to Beau we would love to hear from you. He’s a sweetie with lots of personality, a great smile and a twinkle in his eyes… just like his mom.

> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!

> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.

> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
