Beau is a one-year-old yellow Lab mix weighing around 65 lbs. He is doing an excellent job with his house training via doggy door. Some additional training may be needed in a home without one but he's a pretty quick study. He is already crate trained. Beau is a very energetic boy and will need an active family who will give him plenty of exercise through walking, playing, and adventures. He had no previous formal training but has made great progress making up for lost time. He is great with other dogs, especially bigger dogs. He may be a bit too happy and playful for smaller dogs and cats. He has been great with the grand children (ages 4 and 2) with supervision of course, who have spent time with his foster family. Older children would be a better fit for his sweet clumsy happy demeaner. He loves everyone he meets. He does well on leash but does tend to pull initially until he settles down, so continued training will be needed. Basically, he is a big puppy who is in the process of learning manners and boundaries, but his wonderful nature and eagerness to please will very much be worth the time and effort. Beau has learned to enjoy going on car rides, another new thing in his life. He will absolutely need a secure fence that he cannot easily escape from and thus roam around in search of new friends. Beau is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. This sweet lovable goofball is looking for a wonderful family who will give him the forever home he truly deserves. He's looking for the ones who will recognize a beautiful boy with the potential to be the best friend you will ever have. He really wants someone to be his best friend forever and in turn he will be a light in your life and a loyal family member who will never give up on you.
