Beau's Story

Beau was surrendered when his loving owner entered hospice. His world changed suddenly, but through it all, Beau has stayed the sweetest, most gentle soul.

At 9 years old, this 60lbs hound dog is the perfect mix of calm companion and happy-go-lucky buddy. Beau loves curling up for movie nights, lounging nearby and sticking close to his person. Don't let age fool you, he still has playful zoomies when you first come home and enjoys soft toys, whether he’s entertaining himself or playing with you.

Beau is friendly with everyone he meets — people and pets alike. He was living with a larger dog and 2 cats and has been great around everything from a tiny ferret to a Great Pyrenees. Beau would make a great companion for anyone looking for loyal companionship and a new best friend.

Beau arrived to us after living outside and was in rough shape with a nasty hematoma on his ear, double ear infections and irritated skin likely from fleas. He had to rock the cone and bandage look for some time, but has just been given a clean bill of health. His coat is slowly growing back beautifully and soft with good care and love.

Beau may still look a little rough today, but don’t let that fool you — he’s pure sweetness and resilience on the inside.

He is house-trained, crate-trained, and incredibly easy to love.

If you can look past the temporary healing and see the loyal heart underneath, you’ll gain a gentle, devoted best friend who just wants to be by your side.

If you are interested in learning more about Beau or would like to apply to adopt him, please complete an application in the link below:

https://form.jotform.com/232547694860164
