Meet Beasley

Cute Beasley was an owner surrender to the local shelter and immediately brought into foster care with the Humane Society because of his nice personality. He is in an experienced foster home with adults and other dogs. He is doing fine with everyone. Beasley is friendly, gets along with other dogs in his foster home, enjoys children, and sleeps through the night .He is about 4 months old as of 5/15/16 and weighed about 15 lbs. on that date. We think he will be a medium size dog when full grown. We anticipate his size to be about 35 lbs. as an adult.

His foster family reports he is happy go lucky, impish and playful. He enjoys a good lap to lay on and will sleep all night in your bed if allowed. He is low maintenance, and low shedding. He is almost house broken and already crate trained. He likes to sleep in the bed with you if allowed., enjoys cuddle time, and is not a barker. He will be a great companion! Beasley is current on his first vaccinations and has been wormed. We love his white beard! He is in a lake community where he meets lots of different people and gets plenty of outside time on a leash. He is doing fine. He can chill out when necessary but also has energy to play if you so desire.

Thank you for your interest in our rescues. His adoption donation will be $175 with $75 returned to you upon proof of his neuter at 6 months old. If Beasley sounds right for you, please fill out an adoption application. His donation also includes a reduction in obedience classes if you are so inclined.

Dog Adoption Guidelines:

You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. You can fill out an application at www.forthepets.org/adoption.htm or email to humanesociety@murray-ky.net for an application.
It is not a "first come" process; we try to "match" the dog with the family for a FOREVER home. We process all applications at once and take the dog off the site, place on adoption pending status until a decision is made. If a suitable home is not found, the dog returns to active status.
The dog adoption process can take about two weeks; we are a small group of volunteers who have full time jobs.
All of our dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges, unless otherwise specified.
We do not fly or ship our dogs due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the dog back in the cabin (size restrictions) with you, that would be considered.
If you apply to adopt a dog and are chosen, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the dog and fill out the paperwork in person.
We do adopt out-of-state, but we do not transport.
We can't provide individual "meet and greet" sessions for each applicant. If chosen to adopt, you will have time to visit with the dog before signing any paperwork and will not be committed to adopt if you choose not to at that time.
