Meet Bear - Forest Critters
If you are looking for an intelligent, trainable pup that enjoys plenty of outdoor activity and social time to grow with your family, look no further! To be considered for adoption, apply at the link below: www.doggedly.org/adoption-app
The Forest Critter Litter is a group of 6 puppies, 4 male and 2 female, who were found in the woods outside of southeast Houston. The pups were hiding amongst the brush, after a citizen witnessed mom and pups being dumped from a vehicle. Sadly, mom was spooked and fled deep into the woods. She was never found. The citizen picked up all of the puppies and surrendered them to animal control, due to their condition. The pups were covered in fleas, full of intestinal parasites and caked in mud.
After weeks of healing in a loving foster home with proper veterinary care, a nutritious diet and plenty of TLC, these pups have blossomed into happy, healthy and extremely social little pups.
These pups are amazing little adventurers! We have worked hard to provide plenty of enrichment to aid in their development. These puppies are HIGH activity, sporty and extremely social with other dogs and cats. They would thrive in an active home that enjoys plenty of outdoors time in the form of hikes, plenty of vigorous daily walks, camping and plenty of socialization. These pups are extremely intelligent and respond amazingly well to training.
The puppies are now 12 weeks old, and range from 18 - 20 lbs in weight. All pups have been altered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and are heartworm negative due to age. These babies are working on potty training but will need some guidance from their new families, as all puppies do. All of the pups have started kennel training and sleep in their kennels to provide them with structure. They will need to leash train to learn to go on walks in public, but are extremely smart and food motivated! They learn quickly!
Bear is neutered, has been vaccinated for rabies, received 3 rounds of puppy boosters, including 2 rounds of Leptospirosis, dewormed, microchipped and is current on flea & tick prevention. All this sweet puppy needs is a loving home to call their own!
