Poor Bear has been taught that love is conditional. He has learned that dogs are supposed to sit quietly in a corner until their owners want something from them. He has been shown that nobody is going to take care of him or love him and that is his fault. We know that true love is unconditional, that dogs are not decorations and need attention, and that it is not Bears fault that he needs love. Bear has been very nervous since coming in. His whole world has been ripped from him and he doesn't know what to do. We know that there is someone out there who can show Bear that he is deserving of love.
