Meet Bear
I’m house and kennel trained, great on a leash, and love my daily walks—it’s my time to roam and explore, much like a bear wandering through the woods. I get along well with other dogs and wouldn’t mind a furry friend, but I haven’t met any cats or kids just yet. I’m as sharp as a bear cub learning to fish and already know how to sit, with plenty of room to learn more tricks if you’re up for teaching me (hint: treats help!). I enjoy spending time outside, soaking up the fresh air, and watching the world go. Even though I’m heartworm positive, I’m as resilient as a grizzly and ready to face life’s challenges with a positive attitude. If you’re looking for a loyal, outdoorsy, and affectionate companion with a bear like love for the simple joys of life, I’m the one for you!
**Special Note: Bear must be adopted locally within Springfield and surrounding areas due to ongoing heartworm treatment which will be completed at the Rescue One Clinic. No worries though - heartworms are not contagious from dog-to-dog, and Bear should not have any special needs related to heartworms after completing treatment!
My adoption fee is $75 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*

*Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.
