Bear German Shepherd Dog Medford, NY

Bear is a 1 1/2 yr old. male, neutered long haired German Shephard. He was brought to a shelter after being seized, along with 7 other dogs, from a cruelty situation. He was adopted to a family and thrived. He gained weight, became housebroken, learned basic commands and began to gain confidence and trust. Sadly, his unsocialized primary upbringing was too overwhelming at times, particularly with some men, and one of those men was his dad. Despite his family's devotion and work, Bear just couldn't adjust and it was decided, for Bears best interests, a new home needed to be found.

Bear is a smart, fun loving and goofy boy. He is excellent with dogs of all sizes, in fact, would do best with an outgoing and social dog. He is housebroken and crate trained. He loves, loves, loves to play ball - soccer, tennis, whatever... He prefers a home without kitties and children 16 and over.He loves to lay with his family, snuggled in the covers and reading a book too.
