Bear’s FAQs

What is No Kill Louisville’s adoption process?

The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application, which you will find below. This application doesn't obligate you to anything, it just helps us get to know you better and match you with the best suited animal. The adoption process includes a home visit and meeting all family members and pets residing in the home where the animal will be living. Prior to adoption, each animal will be spayed or neutered, brought current on all vaccines, de-wormed, and micro-chipped. Dogs are also heart-worm tested and cats are tested for FIV/FELUK. Adoption fees are $150 for adult dogs, $200 for puppies*, $150 for adult cats, and $200 for kittens*. * Puppy and kitten adoption fees are higher due to the additional vaccines they require to keep them healthy. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at adopt@nokill-louisville.com.
