Bear Black Labrador Retriever & Labrador Retriever Mix Butler, NJ

Meet Bear! Our sweet, 2 year old gentle giant Bear is patiently waiting for his forever home at our Butler shelter. Bear is a 2 year old lab / rottie mix and he has a beautiful black shiny coat with interesting hints of brown peeking through. His previous foster mom said he is a great companion and will follow his human friends all around the house just to be close to them. This big couch potato is full of kisses and loves to give affection! But please don't let his love of a comfy couch fool you because Bear also loves to play fetch and run around outside too! Bear is housebroken and knows basic commands such as sit and stay and he will take treats gently from your hand when rewarded for good behavior. Oh, and did we mention he is the perfect gentleman in the car? He will lay down peacefully in the backseat and cruise the open road with his human companions. Bear needs a slow introduction to other dogs, and given enough time and patience he gets along very well with another dog. However he does not enjoy the company of cats. We suggest a meet and greet be set up if you have another dog and are interested in adopting Bear. Bear has already been neutered, is microchipped, and is also up to date on all of his vaccinations and he is now waiting ever so patiently for his new forever family to come along and show him how great life can be!
