Meet BAYLESS

Hello - I'm quite shy and a little fearful, but everyone is going slowly with me and trying to help me adjust. My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!! INSIGHTS FROM MY LOVING FOSTER HOME: Bayless is still a very shy dog but continues to show zero aggression towards people or dogs. Hes warming up to all of us in the house and will even wag his tail when we come closer to him. He absolutely loves my 3-year-old boxer. He relies on him to help him feel confident about situations and learn how to be a dog. We are currently working on getting him used to a harness, he is scared of it. He's been great about using the bathroom outside as we have a fenced in backyard. Bayless loves to run around with my dog and play. Hes done really well given how timid he is with getting bathed. Again hes shown zero aggression with every step. We tried giving him a crate as an option, we figured hed really love it since he likes to hide. However, the crate was definitely a traumatic experience for him. It terrified him when we offered it to him. Hes currently sleeping on the couch or bed for night time. I love how his personality is starting to show. Hes a big, goofy dog that loves to sniff and give little kisses. I think Bayless would do extremely well in a house with another dog. He would likely do well in a family with older kids. I think older kids would be best as sometimes the loudness of my younger ones can cause him to retreat. Weve now fostered Bayless for 1.5 months and this sweet boy has blossomed! When hes home, hes a goofy puppy who loves to run and greet you and enjoy all the love. Were seeing the typical puppy behaviors emerge, which is great given how shy he was when he first arrived. He loves to go find any shoes that are left out. He does very well with letting you take things and replace them with an appropriate toy to play with. He has loved all toys that weve given him. Bayless is completely house trained. His temperament is amazing. Bayless has shown absolutely zero aggression towards other dogs or people. He loves our dogs and feeds off of their confidence to help him. Bayless sleeps on one of our beds or the couch. Weve tried introducing the kennel to him but hes very, very terrified of it. Hes equally scared of a harness and leash. He will run away as soon as he sees them. Were working on associating the harness and leash with positive things. Weve been doing small exposures to being outside on the leash with one of my own dogs to help build confidence. Car rides are another tricky thing for Bayless. He shakes as soon as hes in the car. After about 10 minutes in the car he starts drooling excessively. Any longer than that and he starts to experience some car sickness. Bayless is a very goofy and loving dog once he gets comfortable. He would do extremely well in a home with another playful dog to help him feel confident. He has the sweetest puppy eyes that make you want to give him whatever he wants. My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!
