Meet Baxter

Baxter is about 1.5 years old, 30lbs, and good with humans AND dogs!!! We believe he is a husky and coonhound mix. He came to the rescue from a kill shelter in Tennessee. He has been with us for a couple of months, during which he has found himself, bonded with his people, and has taught us a little something about how to really ask for treats (he stands on his two hind legs when he realizes you have some, and it’s the cutest begging you will ever see!!). He is super sweet, friendly, playful, walks well on a leash, and really wants to be around people. He likes to play, run, but can mellow out too. He’s still young, so he would be perfect for an active family. He’s fully grown so doesn’t require too much space either – just tons of love!!! Due to his playful spirit and lack of exposure to young children, ages 12+ is recommended. A fenced in yard for this boy to enjoy with his forever family would be his dream.
