Baxter English Bulldog Williston, VT

This handsome hunk of Olde English Bulldog is Baxter. Before you get too carried away with his sleepy eyes and drop dead good looks, there is another side to this Mr. Wonderful. Firstly Baxters family adopted him at 1.5 years old from a rescue in Tennessee. He is now 7.5 years old. He is in good health but has some of the typical allergy issues that run with the breed.
So why would a loving family decide after all this time to part company with their beloved dog? It is not for lack of trying. There have been trainers, medications, vets and lots of work. However the truth is that Baxter just can not live happily and safely with children. What he does is immaterial because we will not consider a home with children of any age. This boy loves people, adults, men and women. He prefers to be the only pet in a home due to guarding issues when other animals are present. Please do not contact me and tell me that you can cure it. You can't and we won't risk it. We are looking for an adult home with folks who are not away a lot. This boy has energy and even after three walks a day, if you suggest another, he will gladly oblige. He loves physical contact and as such would like an owner/owners who are hands on.
