Barsa's Story

Hi! I'm Barsa, a very handsome (if I do say so) 8 year old fellow with a bit of a sad story. I had the same loving family for my whole life, including children - but they had to take me to a scary shelter because they had to leave the county. Many tears were shed and I was pretty upset, constantly looking for them for several days. The shelter reached out to Bay Area German Shepherd Rescue and they couldn't resist how sweet I am. So now I'm with a great foster but I really need to be part of my own loving family again.

I'm friendly, social, affectionate and easy going and am in that sweet spot where I don't have crazy youngster energy but still love to do things.

I love, love, LOVE to play with toys and balls (as you can see in these cool pics). I can be a bit of a talker when trying to get someone to play with me - like "I'm here, over here" kinda dog talk. I've had some training which I remember much faster when the right treat is offered - hey, whatever works, right?

In true German Shepherd Dog fashion, I will alarm bark when I hear something that I think you should know about.

I ride nicely in the car and do well on leash.

Looks like I might be OK with a calm inside cat with proper introduction - how great is that? And for other dogs? I pretty much ignore them, I'm very comfortable with non pushy dogs and will likely enjoy an easy-going, playful dog friend or I'm also happy bo be your one and only.

I so hope to be with my new family soon. I'll be waiting in Auburn.

You like this dog...now what? Please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form at: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/42179/generic. BAGSR covers expenses, including food. Fosters provide the love and a soft place to crash.
https://petstablished.com/foster_form/42405/generic
