Barry's Story

Meet Barack (or Barry), a 5-year-old, 61 lb Pitbull mix who’s just *dying* to be your next baby... I mean, dog. Sure, his pink nose is cute—if you’re into noses that specialize in sniffing butts. And yes, he naps a lot, but don’t be fooled. As soon as he’s rested, he’s back to galloping around like a horse that’s just discovered it has legs.

He might look intimidating, but he’s about as scary as a stuffed animal. His bark could wake the dead, but his idea of a tactical bathroom break is finding the most inconvenient, thorn-covered spot possible. Indoors, his tail turns into a wrecking ball, yet somehow he’s a pro athlete when it comes to clearing fences. Go figure.

Food thief? Absolutely. Leave a snack unattended and it's basically gone. But hey, that’s the price you pay for his charm.

On the plus side, he’s a training prodigy. "Sit"? Took him three days. Crate training? A week. Separation anxiety? Fixed in three. Honestly, he’s ready for a college degree at this point.

Best part? He’s great with other dogs. Your pup will have a new best friend to wrestle, run, and nap with (and possibly team up on snack-stealing missions).

After his adventures wandering Austin’s streets, Barack is looking for a home with plenty of love and, preferably, a yard where he can practice his Olympic sprints. He’s fluffy, a little naughty, and yeah, you’ll probably never get your snacks back. But isn’t that part of the fun?
