Meet Barley

This sweet girl is Barley! She is a recent mom who is now loving her new carefree life!! All of her puppies have been adopted and now it’s her turn to find a forever home. She is a very calm and gentle dog who loves to follow her foster mom from room to room or just lay down in the hallway where she can see wherever she goes. She really loves to be with people and enjoys all of the attention she can get. She has some favorite stuffed toys but her favorite thing right now is to play in the snow!! Barley rides very well in the car and is a dream on a leash. She is currently in a home with two other dogs and is amazing with both. Barley will sit and take a treat very gently from your hand. Barley has made great progress with learning to trust people but seems to still be a little scared of people who are in full winter gear - coat, hat, gloves, scarf - until she can see that they are someone she knows. Currently, Barley is taking Apoquel to help with some itchy skin. While she doesn’t have anything wrong with her skin, the Apoquel does give her relief so we are unsure if this will need to be an ongoing script or is seasonal. We are currently working on adjusting her food to see if this could be contributing to her itchiness. Barley is estimated to be 1-2 years old and her adoption fee is $425. If you are interested in adopting Barley, you can find our application at digsk9.org.

This dog is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. Please note that we are unable to hold dogs for any reason including moves and vacations. Once approved for adoption we require the adopter to complete the adoption and take ownership of their new companion.

**We do our best to accurately represent the breeds of each pet. However, the breeds listed have not been verified via a DNA test. They are chosen based on the appearance and characteristics of the pet at the time of listing.
