Hey there everyone! My name is Bandit, I am 7 months old and a fairly laid-back guy. When I first met my foster mom, I was a very shy boy and would run and hide as soon as anyone came near me, but now we are best friends and now I follow her everywhere. I like meeting new people, and warm up to them fairly quickly! Sometimes introductions take time though so expect some adaption if you want to adopt me.
Bandit loves other dogs! He could play for hours and was so happy to meet his foster family’s furry friends. He is also good around cats and doesn’t bark or try to chase them. He is also the sweetest and most gentle boy around little kids (5 & 8 years old). He has a very gentle mouth even when taking treats and is not bothered by being pet while eating or taking toys away.
He is learning tricks like to stay and come on command and to wait before taking a treat or toy, which he excels at. He is a very intelligent dog. He is starting to enjoy playing with toys and is very treat oriented. He will bark or paw at the door to go outside and loves to play in the snow. If let out regularly there are no accidents in the house, and he can hold everything in for many hours including through the night. Bandit will require a house with a yard that is fully fenced, other housing options will not be considered for this pup.
He loves to sleep in his crate during the day and will freely go in and out. However, he does not like being put in against his own will. If you let him go in on his own, lay down, then lock the door, he will not whine. He has really improved on this.
Bandit will need a patient and caring owner who will build his trust up in people. His potential adoptor must have another dog as it is felt he will thrive best in a home with one that he can learn from and play with. Some loud sounds do scare him, and he may bark, but if you let him know it’s okay, he calms down.
He is not leash trained but has been working on it, so this will take some time and patience. Do not expect a walk around the neighbourhood right away, he is still pretty new to the pet life and needs lots of love, care and time to learn. Fortunately, he loves car rides and sits calmly in the vehicle, although you do have to lift him in and he will jump out on his own. He alsoflies up and down the stairs which he was terrified of when he arrived.
If you are looking for a new addition to your home or to give your furry friend a new buddy, Bandit is the perfect 4-legged friend for you! He just needs a little time and patience to become his best self!

Bandit has been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, current on age appropriate vaccines and has received a health check from a vet. adoption fee is $295.

Disclaimer: in most cases we are guessing the breed mix. These are best guesses on our part. For puppies it can be extremely difficult and we are also guessing on what size they will be.
