Hi, my name’s Bambi! I’m a very sweet 9 lb, 4 year old Havanese who’s looking for my forever home. My foster mom thinks I’m the perfect dog for someone who’s looking for an adorable and well behaved dog who’s calm, rarely barks, is leash trained and is dog & people friendly. I’ve not been cat tested, but my foster mom thinks I’d pass with flying colors!

I would love to have a canine sibling to live with, but it’s not a must have. What I do HAVE to have, is a home where I won’t be left alone for long periods of time and a home with a fenced yard. No exceptions!

Even though I love people, when we first meet, I may take a minute or 2 to make sure you’re friendly, then I’ll start giving lots of kisses. Once home, I’ll follow you from room to room (and around the yard) and will sit near you. Eventually I’ll want to sit on your lap, but that might take me a few weeks. What I did with my foster mom was first go lay where she’d been sitting after she got up and walked away. That was my way of showing her that I loved her, but I just needed a little time to get comfortable sitting on her lap. Now I love sitting on her lap or next to her!

I’ll need soft voices and gentle hands until I get use to being a part of your family. Be prepared for lots of eye contact when we’re together. My foster mom can’t decide if my eye contact or my cute mouth is sweeter. Personally, I think they’re both adorable!

While I can’t guarantee that I won’t have an accident when you first take me home because I’ll need to learn your household rules and will have a new routine, I can tell you that I’ve only had 1 accident during the 3 months I’ve been living with my foster mom. At first my foster mom watched me very closely and took me out on a regular basis, but now I go sit by the door when I need to go out. If I don’t say so myself, I’m pretty smart!

My adoption fee is $300, which includes my DHPP, Bordetella & Rabies vaccinations. I’m HW negative. Also included is my spay, which is scheduled for November 4, which means I’ll be able to go home with you 3 or 4 days after that.
