Meet Balloo in VA - Very Smart, Quick Learner!

This adorable puppy is Balloo and he is not only cute, he is sweet and smart as well. Balloo and his two brothers came to rescue with their mom, a gorgeous Great Pyrenees from a sad situation. Momma dog took such great care of her babies despite tough living conditions. All four ended up at a crowded Animal Control in need of rescue help, and they contacted us. Balloo absolutely loves toys and kissing your face! He loves to run around the play yard with the other dogs and pups and will curl up for a big nap afterwards. He just got his first collar and is learning how to walk on leash, something new for this family of Pyrs. He is very smart, toy and treat motivated so he should be a quick learner. All three pups have the mellow Pyr temperament like their mom and everyone who meets them says they will be huge (45 pounds at 4.5 month old!). The dad on property is a huge Anatolian Shepherd so Balloo is the best of both breeds. He would do best with a Pyr-experienced owner who can teach him everything he needs to know. Balloo would do well with a canine companion that can match his higher energy level. He'd also do fine as your one and only. These pups went without food for a while so they eat like Piranhas - right now they are being fed separately with a slow feeder bowl so they do not inhale their food. Hopefully that will taper off when they realize they will never be without food again. Balloo enjoys the company of people and loves to get attention. We cannot wait till he finds a great home of his own!

For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
