Meet Bailey COURTESY POST

If you are interested in fostering Bailey, please visit our website to read more about our foster program and to complete a foster application form:

If you are interested in adopting Bailey, please contact her owners directly - she is not currently, nor has she ever been, part of our rescue, but we are listing her as a courtesy for her owners, who feel the need to rehome her.

1. 3 1/2 years and 35 pounds

2. Spayed

3. Vaccination status: up to date (rabies, DHLPP etc)

4. Being wormed/flea/tick treated monthly? YES.

5. Any medical issues (when did he/she last have a vet check up?): Last vet check up 4/01/2021.

6. How does he/she behave around men/women/children/strangers/people on the street/other animals: Very social around other animals, does not like other adults, we don't allow her around any child unsupervised. She is FEARFUL of other humans.

7. Normal daily routine (food/exercise): Eats once a day 1 and 1/2 to 2 scoops of nutrisource lamb & rice, also gets treats. Very active dog, loves to be outside in the backyard.

8. Indoor or outdoor dog? BOTH.

9. Level of training (what commands does he/she know/how does he/she walk on leash/reaction to seeing other dogs when on leash): she knows sit, stay, shake and go to bed (her crate) she's has no leash discipline and we rarely walk her due to the fact that she always flails and gets out of her harness and it's a 30 min ordeal trying to get her back home. She reacts to everyone and everything while on leash.

10. Any particular likes/dislikes (how is he/she about being handled/petted – any sensitive areas, like ears, feet etc.): She has zero sensitive areas, my husband and I are pretty much able to do just about anything to her, as for strangers she gets aggressive when tried to be pet.

11. How does he/she react to riding in the car/going to the vet/can he/she be lifted: she's very stressed during all of these, whines and cries and goes into a panic attack.

12. Has he/she ever bitten any other animals/people? If so, what was the severity and was medical action needed?: NO she has never bitten another animal or person, she was attacked by another dog recently which gave her stitches on her head and inside of her ear.

13. Any separation anxiety issues or other behavioural issues? YES, anxiety issues and bad behavioral issues.

14. Where did you obtain the dog from and why are you attempting to rehome the dog now? How long have you owned the dog?: We rescued bailey from a breeder at 6 months old, she had never been outside, had no shots and was the smallest out of the pack she was in, the owners kept her in a room 24/7, bailey had never been socialized, we tried to socialize her in hopes her skittish behavior would go away but it never did no matter what we tried, training was always too expensive based on her behavior. We are rehoming her because we have a newborn and she's aggressive towards him, the home is no longer safe with her in it. We have had bailey for 3 1/2 years, she will be 4 this Christmas.
