Meet Bailey, a lovely female Labrador retriever mix born 11/10/22.

This girl arrived at the shelter quite timid; she apparently didn't receive much attention or socialization in her prior home. We are so happy to see Bailey coming out of her shell and making human and dog friends! She definitely has her favorite people, along with others she doesn't yet trust, and we are confident that consistent affection and positive training methods will enable her to bond closely with her forever people. Until she grows comfortable, she is skittish and prefers to approach new people on her own terms. She's so charming that the people who are already on her "friends" list are THRILLED, and the rest are looking forward to the day they win Bailey over!

Bailey loves squeaky toys and plays well with other dogs at the shelter. She can be a little bit intense around cats, so will likely do best in a home without small furries.

Staff and volunteers report that Bailey has a calm energy and rarely barks (even when all the other shelter dogs are singing the song of their people). She appears to be housetrained, and is a smart girl who will respond well to positive training methods with her family.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Bailey is a suggested minimum of $150 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
