Meet Bailey
Bailey is a nine-year-old, nine pound male Yorkie looking for love.
What’s your ideal date? Going for a walk? – I love taking walks! Going for a car ride? – I’m a great co-pilot! Spend the day being a couch potato? – I will gladly occupy your lap! Do you need an extra pillow or a snuggle buddy at night? – I will cuddle up next to you all night long!
I’m a sweet, affectionate little boy that just wants to find my furever home with my furever person. I’ve been shuffled around for a little while, but I have thrived with patience and routine in my foster home. I don’t know very many commands, but I will do a little spin dance for you when I’m excited. I am not food or toy aggressive and I take treats from your hand nicely. Loud noises startle me and I like having a cuddle bed to jump into when I take cover. ;)
Leash trained: I don’t pull very much, but I am working on my weaving back & forth. I really like to take walks, but I do not like cold weather.
Crate trained: I don’t like being in a crate if you are going to leave, and I will definitely tell you that, but I will settle down after a few minutes. On the other hand, I will sleep in the crate all night long if I’m not welcome to sleep with you and it doesn’t even faze me. As a bonus, the crate will be dry in the morning!
House manners: I have come a long way in a short time with potty-training, but I also have a routine with a lot of potty breaks at my foster home. And now that I’m neutered, I’ve spent a lot less time in belly bands and I’ve had fewer accidents in the house. That being said, I am not 100% potty-trained and I will still need patience and training. As for general barking, I don’t do it very often, but I do like spending time on patrol in the living room windows and will alert if I see something.
Kids: I’ve hung out with a 9 and 11-year-old and they didn’t bother me.
Cats: I’m not sure if I’ve ever met one of these, so I’m not sure how I’d react.
Dogs: I’m socialized and get along well with other dogs that are my size.
Bailey's adoption fee is $300.
