Meet Bailey! She’s a 2 year old, spayed female, and weighs 50 pounds. Bailey is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and was recently vetted.

Bailey loves to give hugs, snuggling up for some Netflix, and loves going on walks. She’s a wiggle worm of excitement in the morning and when her human comes home after being away for a few hours. She’s just so excited to see her favorite person again! She’s a very social pup who makes friends with strangers in a heartbeat. She’s the perfect dog for a beginner adopter or foster because she’s super friendly, not aggressive, and not reactive towards people or dogs. She has not been tested with cats or small animals yet.

Bailey is a well mannered pup and basically dog royalty! She’s house trained, potty trained, and crate trained. Bailey walks well on leash and knows her basic commands such as sit, stay, and down. Bailey is a smart pup who would benefit from a forever home who’s committed to continuing her training because Bailey finds training sessions super fun and also a great way to keep her busy/centered. She’s also VERY food motivated and will do anything for a treat!

Bailey prefers a low key, quiet home environment because a high energy household makes Bailey too excited. She’s kid friendly BUT still learning that kids aren’t a fellow doggie that she can jump on and play with. Bailey is currently looking for a home with NO young children. In the future with proper training, Bailey could potentially live with children but she’s not ready just yet.

Bailey’s favorite activities are hanging out at home and snuggling up with her human. Bailey also LOVES to play fetch! You’ll see a twinkle in her eye and she smiles ear to ear when fetch balls come out! Since Bailey is a young and active dog, her ideal home would have a fenced in backyard for her to play in. This is NOT a deal breaker so long as Bailey’s new family is committed to providing the daily exercise she needs.

Bailey is dog friendly and enjoys making new dog friends! She loves going to dog parks and playing with dogs. She is young and still learning dog social cues such as when to stop playing if the dog is no longer interested. Overall, Bailey is well behaved at dog parks but can sometimes annoy her dog friends if they don’t have similar play/interaction styles. With more dog socialization and training, dog parks would be a great energy outlet for this active girl!

Bailey has been living with her previous owner for the past 2 years but unfortunately they surrendered Bailey to AmsterDog Rescue at no fault of her own. The former owner is relocating for work and is unable to take Bailey with them.

Bailey has no confirmed housing arrangements yet and desperately needs an adopter or foster to step up and help Bailey ASAP. Bailey would prefer to be adopted into a her very own forever home but AmsterDog will accept foster applications for Bailey as well.
