Bagel Beagle Bowersville, GA

Bagel was pulled from an overcrowded rural shelter where he had been housed in a small run with 8-9 large breed puppies. He ended up in the shelter after being picked up as a stray. He was never reclaimed.

After leaving the shelter, Bagel was taken straight to the Vet. He was treated for a bacterial skin infection, had bloodwork done, and was diagnosed with a thyroid condition that is treated with twice daily, inexpensive medication. He has been neutered and had a dental to remove 12 teeth.

Since recovering from his medical work up, Bagel has been getting the hang of house training. He is your typical beagle and loves to sniff and go-go-go. Marking has been a hard habit to break, but he does well wearing a belly band. Having a set routine with a new adopter will surely help this issue.

While he is a very busy beagle, he does enjoy long naps--- he has the most adorable snore.

Bagel is currently housed with many dogs and has a favorite friend/playmate Paul that is also for adoption, but not a requirement for them to go together.

We would love to see this discarded old country boy end up in a retirement home that can give him the best life possible with all the love, care, and treats he deserves.
