Bagel Pit Bull Terrier Mix Manhattan, KS

Hi, I’m Bagel! I’m a 2 year old pittbull terrier mix with a gorgeous brindle and white coat and am around 45-50 pounds. When I first came to my foster parents’ house, I was extremely timid, but I’m gaining confidence every day! Before coming to Purple Paws, I was an outdoor only dog. Because of this, I’m still working on getting potty trained. My foster mom says I’m doing a great job at learning and have only had a few accidents in the house! I currently live with another dog and two cats and do well with both. My foster mom thinks I would do best in a home with another dog to show me the ropes and help me gain confidence. I haven’t been around kids yet, but I’m definitely a lover, so my foster mom thinks I would do fine with them. I can be kid tested before adoption. My kennel still scares me, but my foster parents are working with me on it. I would absolutely love to cozy up on your couch or next to you in bed every night. I do well on a leash, as long as I’m confident in my surroundings. I would fit best in a home that will give me lots of patience (and treats!!) while learning how to be a dog and build up my confidence. I’m up to date on all shots, but am still waiting on getting heart worm tested and neutered. Once both are complete, I will be ready for adoption!
