Baci "Kisses to you" Alaskan Malamute Gaithersburg, MD

BACKGROUND: Baci is a 2-year-old, 100-pound boy, who came to us from a shelter after his human didn't have time for him.

LIKES: His favorite past time is rolling over for belly rubs and playing with his toys. He is potty trained and loves to travel in the car.

HOMELIFE: He does well with children, but due to his size & energy it would be best to have older children. He enjoys mental stimulation to prevent boredom. He would benefit from someone being home more often than not because he likes to follow his person around everywhere they go. He may also benefit from having a female companion to help show him the ropes and keep him company. He is working on "independence" with his foster mom to help him with separation anxiety.

PERSONALITY: Baci is full of life! He is one happy boy who looks like he is smiling. He is bubbly & loves to run around & train to earn treats. He is super smart & early on learned that sitting makes treats happen or belly rubs. Either way, he loves the attention. He needs to continue training & exercise to help him become a gentle-mal as he continues to grow into his big body. He always checks in with his human but sometimes he gets excited he will pull on his leash.

CHAAMP accepts applications ONLY from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC. The information on your application will help CHAAMP determine which of our dogs is a good match for you and your family, based upon your lifestyle, other pets, etc. A home visit is required prior to all adoptions. Many of our dogs are fostered in private homes and cannot be visited until you have been approved for adoption.

ADOPTION FEES
~Adult dogs, the fee is $275.00
~Older dogs (eight years old or over) the adoption fee is $100.00
~Puppies between 6 months and 1 year are $350.00
~Puppies under 6 months old are $375.00

All dogs are micro chipped, spayed and neutered and up to date on vaccines. These fees help us cover these costs. The rates are higher for puppies because they require more visits to the vet and shots.
