Bacardi (Mom to B Pups) Shepherd & Corgi Mix Scranton, PA

Beautiful BACARDI needs a foster or a forever home very soon! What a Foxy Lady! Bacardi is a 3-4 year old, Shepherd? Corgi? mix who was recently rescued from a high kill shelter. Her breed make-up is truly a mystery and only a DNA test will tell for certain. At any rate, Bacardi is turning heads everywhere with her semi- shag, honey colored coat and sweet, endearing little smile. Nicely meeting and interacting with 2 youth volunteers on her walk at the shelter, this recent mom to 2 pups (Breanne and Braxton) is calm, polite and gentle in her ways. Softly snuggly and happy to hang by your side, the volunteers enjoyed seeing her relax and get into the swing of things on her outing. Walking very nicely on a leash, Bacardi was open to sharing her walk with a larger, happy male who like her, is respectful of boundaries and space. Bacardi has a fun, playful side to her but likely won't wish to engage in wrestling activities with other dogs nor run and retrieve a ball that you toss for her! She is a more refined lady who enjoys some peace and quiet and would likely enjoy back yard gardening and simply chilling with her 2-legged and 4-legged friends. Although tipping the scales at over 50 pounds, she has a smaller presence and feel about her. She is a delightful dog who would do very well in a quieter home. Bacardi is spayed, micro-chipped and current with vaccines. She has recently been treated for heart-worm disease and is well on her way to a full recovery and a very happy life. Bacardi's suggested adoption donation is $300 to help with the rescue's ongoing vet bills. This sweet mama will be available for adoption, or foster, on Sunday, March 29th and we are taking applications for her NOW.
