MEET BABY!

This sweet girl is named Baby! Baby is a small Chihuahua, estimated to be around 10-13 years old and weighs in at 8 pounds (though she should be closer to 10). Baby was found as a stray in Philadelphia and was brought to the animal control shelter where sadly, no one came to claim her! Her days as a stray are behind her and she's ready to find that perfect retirement home!

She is the one of the sweetest most gentle Chihuahuas we've ever met! She just wants to be snuggled and given gentle pets and kisses. In the weeks since she's left the shelter, her foster mom has never even heard her bark. When she gets excited and wants attention she will do an adorable little grumble or give out a little howl. Baby does well around other dogs but would feel more comfortable around dogs with minimal energy like herself that will just let her nap and won’t run her over! She’s blind in one eye and partially blind in the other but it doesn’t stop her from getting around just fine. She will insist on sleeping in the bed with you and likes to burrow under the covers. She will follow your every move around the house but she doesn’t get upset when you leave her alone. She’s a perfect little angel who just needs a gentle soul to keep her company while she lives out the rest of her years. She typically asks to go out when she needs to potty. She’s had a few accidents but let’s chalk that up to human error. She enjoys being carried around in a bag but she’s also good on the leash!

Baby is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also negative for heartworm and lymes disease. Interested in adopting her?
