Dog Story
Meet Axle, a super affectionate, champion cuddle bug, social butterfly and indoor Velcro dog. He has acclimated well to our household. He is wonderful about respecting house rules, sits before receiving meals and over all has great house manners. Outdoors, Axle becomes protector of the domain. His favorite sport is sitting by his favorite hunting tree waiting for that squirrel to appear. He also loves to race the fence line with the neighbor’s dog, boasting loudly that he always wins.

He will beg our resident Britt to play. Our boy basically will temporarily indulge him, but Axle would really like a playmate to share Frisbees and sticks and careen the yard. He thrives on being an active member of a pack. We adore this very good boy and feel he needs a family who has the willingness to keep him engaged. He loves lick mats, puzzles and soaks up all attention and training you can give him. He is an excellent student.

We are not considering long distance or sight unseen adoptions for Axle. We feel it is important for all family members (humans and canines) meet to assure we have a match. He has already been displaced, we want the next home to be his forever home.

Axle is an owner surrender from a family who’s life style changed. Less time at home, more alone time for Axle. He did not deal well with the change and his family made the choice to surrender him to rescue. He is up to date on vaccinations, Heart Worm tested negative, on preventative and micro chipped.
