Avon Terrier Mix Cumming, GA

Avon is a total sweetheart in a petite body. She loves kids, cats, and dogs of all sizes. She knows a couple basic commands like come and sit. She is crate trained, as well as almost 100% house trained. She does not jump up on people or try to counter surf (her small size helps with this). She has no toy or food aggressions and is not scared of thunder. She hardly barks and was very quiet at the Gwinnett Stripers baseball game, however, she did want to meet everyone and give them kisses. She even wiggled her way onto the lap of one of the baseball team volunteers.

The pictures of her next to the jug of sweet tea are for comparison sake as everyone that meets her says, "Wow, she's much smaller than I thought". Yes, she is sweet to a T. and her size won't knock anyone over. She has a kink at the end of her tail which is so adorable. She has yet to destroy a blanket or bed in her kennel area. Her favorite toy is a tennis ball. Her one fault-she hates the rain, but who is completely perfect?

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
