Autumn's Story

Autumn here. I want to tell the people who tied me to a pole for 3 days all alone out in the country with no house in sight, that I forgive them, & I know that is just a small part of my journey to finding my forever home. A person stopped to help me find a temporary place to stay until LWR could rescue me. My foster mom took one look at me, & she said she got a cold chill, but I think it was an angel telling her what to name me. Isn't it supposed to be hot in August? I love my name & answer to it very well. I know sit, down, look it, shake & speak. My foster mom has even taught me to sit while I wait for her to put my food bowl down, & then she tells me to get it. Can you believe I can do all that at such a young age of 9 months old? Did I tell you I was potty-trained too? I have not had 1 accident in my foster home. How cool is that? I do get crated during the day for up to 4-5 hours, but I want to be part of a pack or sleeping cuddled up next to you at night. My foster mom & dad think I am the smartest young female in foster care. They are going to have a hard time letting me go, I've heard them talking. I want everyone to know I'm a little skittish of men. My foster dad is trying to help with that. It's almost like I've been harshly treated by a man, and then there is the buckshot they found in my right leg . . . I'm spayed, heart worm negative & on Interceptor, updated on shots & micro-chipped, and being fostered in Indianapolis. I promise you will FALL for me! Paws & prayers, Autumn
