Autumn German Shepherd Dog Glendale, AZ

Hello! My name is Autumn and I am about 6 years old! I am a large, stunning GSD. My story at Saving Paws Rescue starts off in California actually, where I was brought to the shelter pregnant and stayed there for almost my entire pregnancy, can you imagine? Just in time for my babies to come, I came to Saving Paws where I was able to have my puppies in a nice, clean, and quiet environment, out of the shelter. All of my puppies are in their forever homes…so now it’s MY turn…woohoo!

Now that I’m an empty-nester, I went home with a nice foster family who has lots and lots of friends for me to play with. At first I was a little nervous, but they showed me I have nothing to worry about. In fact, I’m having so much fun with them and am learning how to play! I like chasing balls, too, and chewing contently on bones and sticks.

I am showing my foster family what a great girl I am! I know how to use the dog door, am completely house trained, haven’t chewed or destroyed anything in their home, play nicely with my fur siblings, and love sleeping at the feet of my humans. I enjoy affection and belly rubs, but my favorite thing to do is scour the counters for anything that might just be hanging over the edge a bit! I got caught once trying to clean up the leftovers, but my mom scolded me and now I know better.

The volunteers here don’t know too much about my past or how I was treated. Sometimes I get a little scared when my people try to pet my head, but I’m learning it’s ok. I can be a little nervous around new people but am quickly learning they bring FOOD! I love FOOD and behave perfectly when I know there’s a snack waiting for me!

LIttle dogs and little kids make me nervous, so I would do best in a home where I have bigger fur friends and bigger kid friends.

I am ready to find my perfect match and settle down, I just want to live that good life that everyone’s talking about! I think we could live the good life together, what do ya say?
