Meet Sweet Aurora!

This beautiful SMALL BREED tan and cream scruffy terrier mix puppy is approximately 11 weeks old and currently weighs 6 pounds, but will weigh around 15 lbs. as an adult. Aurora entered our rescue when we rescued her mom very close to having puppies and gave her a safe space to give birth and raise her SIX babies.

Aurora’s mom did an amazing job raising her babies and has been adopted and now it is her babies turn! Aurora is a typical small breed puppy - Sassy, Silly, and SPUNKY. She can usually be found “investigating” all the things and reporting her findings back to her foster mom and siblings. She is joyful and sassy and perfect for someone who likes to be kept on their toes and loves to laugh at puppy antics. When she is done playing, she loves to tuck herself into a big fluffy dog bed and blanket to take a long nap.

She is working hard on house training in her foster home, but like all small breed puppies, she has a small bladder and currently is only able to go without house breaks for 2-3 hours during the day and 5 overnight. Her ideal home will have someone ready to continue a consistent routine/structure with house training and learning manners. Puppy training is a time consuming process that requires patience, and her perfect home will understand that she needs consistency, structure, and training and be able to put that time in while she is young.

Aurora’s ideal forever home will have another playful dog or dogs and maybe even some dog savvy/older kids of her very own! She is good with other small dogs and good with cats. Aurora will not be adopted to a home without another accepting dog. Aurora’s perfect home would have older children only who can interact with her small stature safely. With continued puppy training, this adorable and sweet girl is going to make a great life-long companion. ??

Aurora deserves the best forever home and like always we are not first come first serve- we will want a mutual adoption decision from both the potential adopter and Aurora herself. We are always looking for the very best fit for both you AND the dog.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $200.
