Meet Aura
UPDATE 2/13 ***Aura is currently on a trial home visit with a prospective home ... fingers and paws crossed!***
UPDATE 2/3: Oh, sweet Aura! She is equal parts playful and snuggly--a pretty awesome combination. In a shelter full of dogs excited out of their skins to go on a walk, Aura is one of the few that will wait patiently to be harnessed. And what a dream of a walking partner! She really enjoys the company of other dogs and looooves doggie daycare. Aura's got some crazy climbing skills--she can scale a 6+ foot chainlink. Her vertical leap is 5 feet! We would love to see her with a privacy fence and another dog, but an family with an established daily exercise habit might also be a good fit.
12/30/20 Welcome to STAF, Aura! Her former family thought they were buying a Doodle pup. When she grew into something other than the picture they had in mind, they didn't want her anymore. Ouch. We think she's a winner no matter what her pedigree. She's around one year old (est. birth 12/19) and right around 50#. She's great in the car and loves playing with fellow pups! • All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 75-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
