Meet Augustus

Augustus, nicknamed Gus, was found as a stray in Chicago. Thankfully a foster home stepped up to take him in - no senior dog should be stuck in a kennel! Gus, is a sweet, friendly boy! All the staff loved him at the vet and he was a star for the groomer. His senior blood work looked great - he is neutered, microchipped, HW negative, and UTD on vaccines. He does have arthritis in his back end, which he’s on pain meds for, so his ideal home won’t have a lot of stairs. Gus is working on gaining weight and should be about 90 lbs. He is very food motivated! He is not high energy but still has pep in his step! If you’re looking for an easy going companion, look no further! Gus did well meeting another dog at the shelter however seems a little too interested in kitties. We think he would do well with children! Gus is hoping his special person is out there who will treasure him during his golden years!
