Meet Augie

Augie found himself as a stray in a rural coastal county. He was bred as an exotic micro bully. We are not fond of this in rescue, but this isn’t Augie’s fault. He makes a wonderful companion. He is estimated at 5 years old. He is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, chipped and UTD on heart worm prevention. He was HW+ on intake of September 2022 but has undergone the slow kill heartworm treatment method. His adopter will
Need to continue his treatment which is easy. He just receives a monthly preventative just like a HW- dog would receive. He is kid friendly, dog friendly with females and submissive males. He is a treat hound so it’s suggested to give him treats with a flat palm. Augie will need to go with a family that is familiar with either the American Bully or English bulldog breed. He is very mellow and loves to lounge! Condo or apartment living is okay if he has access to an elevator. Unfortunately, Augie really struggles with stairs. A ranch style home is suggested as well. This is why he’s marked special needs.
