Augie Poodle & Maltese Mix Memphis, TN

Update 5/27/15:

Augie is a 10 year old poodle who was dumped on the streets one day by his owners. Lucky for him Streetdog saved him before anything bad could happen. He is an old fella, and he can’t see very well. His foster says that he makes up for his poor eyesight in “attitude and sharp memory.” He loves car rides, snuggling, and other dogs! His foster has helped him to trust humans again. She says that he loves positive reinforcement, and that she loves to see his little tail wag. His new favorite pastime is being a very loved lap dog.

I'm Augie and I was out in the street one night searching for food when a nice lady found me and led me to her yard. She fed me and gave me a soft place to sleep, and in just a couple of days, I started to feel much better! I used to live somewhere--you can tell because even though my hair has grown out, I have been groomed before, and I know about riding in the car, and I love people SO MUCH--but I've been on my own for a while and got very skinny and pretty dirty. I also can't see very well, and my back legs are kinda stiff. So I'm very lucky to have been found before something bad happened! I like being around other dogs, but I love people the most--I just want a lap to curl up in and lots of TLC! If you would like that lap to be yours please let Streetdog Foundation know!! I can't wait to meet my forever family - I just know they are out there somewhere!
