Why are chairs called Lazy Boy Chairs? Should I, as a girl, and not lazy, not be sleeping on it? Hmmm, things I ponder now that I’m safe in a Foster Home. I have house dog problems instead of street dog problems, you know! I’m a lucky duck.
I am pretty to look at, but I also gots intelligence. I figured out how to unlock my kennel! Too smart for my own good. Foster Mom says I listen well…somewhat. As with all under one year old large breed pups, I can exercise selective hearing at times.
I have been friendly with the little dogs I have met. Foster Mom doesn’t have young kids, but I’ve been good around older teens age kids. She suspects I might have have come from a home with kids, because I had pink marker scribbles on me when found as a stray.
Foster Mom says I act as expected for a 10 month old German Shepherd pup, hyper and wonderfully athletic. I can jump about shoulder height on a human. I bet I could jump higher if I practice. Jumping and figuring stuff out is fun!!
But I’m not running and jumping allllll the time. I take naps and relax on chairs, couches and loveseats. I’m a very loving dog. I ride well in the vehicle and look out the window. I do know how to be a good calm statue at times.
Foster Mom is pretty sure that I’ve always been a house dog as I ran straight into her house and knew all the standard protocols for being an inside dog. But being young, I still have many manners to work on. Such as leash walking and pulling too much.
I’m learning from Foster Mom’s dogs too. They told me if she just says “no” to go ahead and continue with mischief. But if she says “NO, m’am” then I better stop my mischief. I guess there are levels of no’s. Maybe there’s a third level I’m unaware of. Might test that theory!
I am a piggy for attention so I’m looking for a family who enjoys to spend lots of time with their good girl. I also wish the cats paid more attention to me, I whine at them to play but all they offer is a bit of a sniff. Such boring pets!
